The MSPCA at Nevins Farm, in Methuen, Massachusetts, is a unique 55-acre animal care complex that provides shelter and adoption services for both farm and companion animals; an exceptional equine program, including rehabilitation, adoption services, and a world-renowned equine ambulance program; community outreach and education, including a popular summer camp for children; resources for pet owners who have lost a companion animal, including a cremation services and cemetery; and humane law enforcement services that uphold animal protection laws and provide care to animal victims of abuse and neglect. Walk for Animals!
Saturday, September 26th 11am-2pm at MSPCA at Nevins Farm
Join us for our 7th annual Walk for Animals! With contests & prizes, food & music, kids’ activities, canine demonstrations and other animal antics, there is something for everyone at the Walk! This year there are more animals than ever before who need our help, and we’re not going to let them down.
Form a team, walk with your family & friends, and help us raise money to help animals. Get creative, get a little crazy, but most of all get going! If you start now you have the best chance to help the most animals. Encourage your fellow animal lovers to do the same. Or urge them to support the cause by becoming one of your sponsors. And if you can’t join us on the 26th, you can still be a virtual walker!

Horses Helping Horses, Fall Beach Ride - NEW location!
Saturday, October 17th at Crane Beach
Looking for the ideal setting for a ride along the beach? Want to help less fortunate horses at the same time? Good news - registration is officially open for the MSPCA at Nevins Farm’s Horses Helping Horses, Fall Beach Ride. This year’s event will be better than ever as it will take place at the beautiful, exclusive Crane Beach in Ipswich!
Crane Beach is a highly sought after destination for riding along the beach with excellent footing, wide and expansive beach and stunning vistas. The location is generally only available to members of The Trustees of the Reservation, but through a partnership with The Trustees - Crane Estate, the location has been opened up to our guests during this event. Parking is limited at the site and we are therefore limiting the gate to 100 trailers and requiring advance registration this year.

Large Animal Rescue Training
Sunday, October 4, 9am – 4pm
This course is geared to individuals who already have a basic knowledge of horse and livestock body language and behavior. This course will be especially helpful for horse owners and barn managers interested in establishing an equine emergency protocol in your barn or during transport.
Attendees will cover the theory and proper use of the rescue equipment, including our innovative Rescue Glide, as well as equipment that might be available to various first responder departments. They’ll also gain practical hands-on experience conducting rescue scenarios using our training mannequin Lucky the horse. Click here to learn more and register today!

Nevins Reading Program – NEW!
Kick-off Celebration Sunday September 13 from 11am-12pm
Boost your child’s reading confidence and help animals at the same time! Accompanied by a parent or guardian, children ages 6-10 years old may read aloud to an adoring (and adoptable!) canine, feline, or even rabbit audience in this fun family event. While your child practices reading, you’ll also be providing valuable social time to our animals awaiting new homes.
We’ll kick off this FREE program Sunday September 13, thereafter to be held on the first Sunday of the month. Advance registration is required, and space is very limited, so register your child today by clicking here.

Fall Vaccination Clinic
Sunday, October 18th, 7-11am
Keep your dog or cat safe, by keeping them up-to-date with vaccinations! Our Fall Vaccination Clinic takes place at Nevins Farm and is open to the public with no advance appointments required. Bring your dog on a leash or your cat in a carrier, along with any previous vaccination records if available. Microchips (a form of permanent identification) will also be available, as well as nail trims.

Blanket Blowout
Saturday, October 24 12-4pm
Get your horse ready for winter at our popular once yearly firesale by stocking up on blankets and sheets from our Tack Box.
For one day only and in our indoor riding arena, we'll be selling all of our blankets for $30 and sheets for $15 - and all of the proceeds will benefit the horses at Nevins Farm!
