Walk for Animals!
Saturday, September 26th 11am-2pm at MSPCA at Aselton Park in Hyannis!
Join us for our 7th annual Walk for Animals! With contests & prizes, food & music, kids’ activities, canine demonstrations and other animal antics, there is something for everyone at the Walk! This year there are more animals than ever before who need our help, and we’re not going to let them down.
Form a team, walk with your family & friends, and help us raise money to help animals. Get creative, get a little crazy, but most of all get going! If you start now you have the best chance to help the most animals. Encourage your fellow animal lovers to do the same. Or urge them to support the cause by becoming one of your sponsors. And if you can’t join us on the 26th, you can still be a virtual walker!

Campaign for Cape Cod
Our thriving MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center is critical to the fabric of the Cape Cod community. Each year we see more than 1,200 animals in need of care. These animals are cared for by the compassionate staff and volunteers who, working under adverse conditions, give them their chance at a new life.
Our current facility does not reflect the MSPCA’s standard of excellence. We desperately need a new Adoption Center in order to provide the most hospitable and humane conditions possible for our animals.
We are calling upon the residents of Cape Cod to contribute $5,000,000 to build and endow a new Animal Care and Adoption Center, replacing the current buildings in Centerville.
We want to recognize our generous campaign contributors through Legacy Naming Opportunities that will include all the rooms in the new facility itself. Your name or the name of someone you choose to honor can be proudly linked to the important work the MSPCA is doing on Cape Cod.

This beautiful young cat was surrendered to the Cape Cod Animal Care and Adoption Center, in September 2014, along with four other cats. Upon intake, we immediately realized that KJ had suffered for too long with festering wounds and horribly diseased skin. After being seen by our friends at Barnstable Animal Hospital, we discovered that KJ endured constant pain from a very rare condition called Ehlers–Danlos syndrome. His previous owner has subsequently been charged with animal cruelty for failing to seek medical attention for KJ’s serious condition. Thanks to a compassionate foster parent, as well as the regular observation and gratis consultation from part-time Cape Cod resident Dr. Jean Duddy at Angell Animal Medical Center, KJ now lives in a home with love, medical treatment, and soft bedding! KJ’s medical bills have been paid by the Guardian Angel Fund, a fund that allows the MSPCA-Cape Cod adoption center to pay for injured or sick animals, from medication and exams to surgery and recovery. Pit Pals Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program
The MSPCA is offering low-cost spay/neuter help for low-income owners of pit bull terriers. For $50, you will receive the spay/neuter surgery and basic vaccines. Open Your Heart To Fostering! Adult Cats Need You!
Can't adopt? Why not foster! Every summer the adoption center overflows with cats and kittens, and we need your help! Becoming a temporary foster is a wonderful and rewarding way to help a homeless pet in need. The adoption center provides all the necessary supplies and vet care. Do You Love Animals?
Then become a volunteer! There are many volunteer opportunities, including walking dogs and caring for cats, rabbits and small animals. We are also looking for photographers, special event volunteers, and drivers.

CAPE COD ANIMAL CARE & ADOPTION CENTER cat spay/neuter program 2015
Thanks to a generous grant and private donations, we are able to offer low-cost cat spay and neuter clinics for qualifying low-income Cape Cod residents. We do NOT accept walk-ins.
Appointments will include spay/neuter surgery, microchip rabies vaccine, and fvrcp (distemper) vaccine.
We require the following as part of this program:
Completed consent form for each cat (paperwork is available at the Adoption Center) Documentation showing financial need (must show in-person at the Adoption Center) Payment in form of cash, credit/debit or money order (no checks)
$50 per cat
Paperwork can be mailed, faxed, completed online through this link, or completed at the Adoption Center during open hours. Payment can be taken over the phone (credit/debit), mailed or in person.
Surgery takes place at Barnstable Animal Hospital. Once we receive paperwork and payment, we will process a voucher and provide next steps for scheduling the surgery.
