Boarding Your Pet at Angell

Angell offers safe, comfortable boarding opportunities to Angell patients with medical needs for your convenience and peace of mind. In addition to overnight boarding, we offer our guests plenty of exercise and playtime. Our on-site, 24/7 hospital facility ensures that your pet will have access to a veterinarian at all times.   • Large outdoor play areas for proper care and exercise

  • Lodging to accommodate all sizes of dogs and cats with specialty beds available.

  • Accommodation of pets with special needs by professionals fully trained to distribute medication.

     

Dog Accommodations
All canine guests enjoy at least 3 walks per day. The dog room offers soothing music for our guests’ relaxation.

 

Cat Accommodations
All feline guests enjoy ample attention with their lodging. Multi-room suites are available so your cat can stretch out or stay with his/her housemate. The cat rooms offer soothing music for our guests’ relaxation. 
 

Our Menu
Our menu consists of veterinarian recommended Hills Science Diet Food to ensure proper nutrition. Of course, we are happy to comply with special dietary needs. Please let us know when making your reservations.

Pets with medications
We will happily accommodate guests with additional special needs. We will administer medication at an additional cost per day. Please be sure to have the original medication bottles clearly labeled at the time of check-in.

Available Medical Boarding
Is your pet recovering from surgery or illness? If any of our guests need medical attention, special medications or other more intensive monitoring, they can be  accommodated in our In-Patient area where they receive constant supervision and special care.

Rates and Requirements
Please call (617) 522-7282 or email boarding@angell.org for rates and reservations. Full payment is due at time of check-in. All major credit cards are accepted. Vaccinations need to be done by a licensed veterinarian. Proof of vaccines can be faxed to the kennel prior to your pet’s stay at (617) 522-4885.

Dogs
All dogs must be current on: DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations. Canine influenza vaccine is recommended. Dogs must be 16 weeks or older.

Dogs must have had an appointment with an Angell doctor within the past 12 months (or 4 months in some medical circumstances).

Cats
All cats must be current on Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations.  Cats must be 16 weeks or older.

We strongly recommend that your pet have Frontline Plus administered before admittance. If we find fleas on your pet, we will administer Capstar and Frontline Plus at your cost for your pet’s protection.

 

Age Appropriate

In addition to having received the full set of vaccinations, animals must be 16 weeks or older. We also do not recommend boarding puppies and/or kittens under 6 months of age because they are more susceptible to infectious diseases.

 

Check-Out
Check out time is at noon. After noon, a full day of boarding will be applied. Saturday and Sunday discharges available between 12-3 pm.

If you are boarding your pet with us while visiting Boston, you may take your pet out for the day. Please return our guest by 5pm M-F, and by 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
